The inner city roads of Pinkwai district, a suburb of kpone-katamanso in a sorry state

Kpone katamanso interconnecting city roads in a very sorry state

The residents of the pinkwai district, a suburb of kpone-katamanso constituency in the Greater Accra region of Ghana have been bemoaning the sorry state of their inter connecting city roads.

The district after been created on 28 June,2012 have always been at the wrong side of development with respect to roads which is hindering all forms of businesses to develop in the Constituency.

Speaking to some of the residents in the pinkwai district:
” I have lived here for almost 14 years, our leaders would always reassure us during election period with respect to how they are going to fix our deplorable but nothing has changed.”

” We’ve had all our members of Parliament from the National Democratic Congress under the fourth republic but they always relegate our community when it comes to development, no body residing in ‘Royal city’ a suburb of Pinkwai district goes to work when it rains because the road would be flooded with water.”

” The current member of Parliament for this constituency, Hon Joseph Akuertey Tetteh was here prior to the 2020 general elections to iterate that, something would be done but he hasn’t fixed anything. This constituency once upon a time had a member of Parliament who was given appointment as the Greater Accra regional minister in the person of Hon.Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo yet, our district was still in a sorry state and now it’s in shambles.

” We need an urgent antidote to fixing our roads, if government could get us stones and sand, we as residents of this community would spread out the sand and the stones on the roads.”

Meanwhile, I believe government owes the good people of Pinkwai district, a suburb of Kpone katamanso at least some form of feeder roads as a stop gap. However, there are more work to be done by the traditional and political leaders of Kpone katamanso constituency.
