The Ghana football association president, Kurt Simeon-Okraku spelt out the negative effect of high rate of players frequently exist the Ghana premier league.
Kurt Okraku iterated one of the significant factors contributing to the low level of our league and why it’s not up to the standard to the fact that the best players are always existing the domestic scene to foreign leagues in search of greener pastures.
The FA president, Kurt strong holds the view that, when the clubs are been resourced with the needed capital, they would invest in the players hence, reducing the rate at which Ghanaian players exit the domestic league.
“If we are able to invest the economic health of our league, clubs owners will will be able to get more resources to invest in their clubs and also invest in the players.”
“And once this process continues with more investment, I am very sure that a lot more of the players would like to stay here a bit to continue to develop, it’s a gradual process, which will take time but the FA has shown clear commitment towards improving the economic health of our GPL.” Kurt Simeon-Okraku said.
