Jacob expresses displeasure over GHALCA cancellation of top-four tournament
The freelance writer and sports writer for Bobbytheblogger.com have registered his disappointment over the forfeiting of the 2023 GHALCA top-four tournament by the organizers.
GHana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) are responsible for the organization of the top four mini pre-season games which serves as preparation for the club which is going to represent all Ghana premier clubs in the the CAF champions League and it also gives the four clubs who are going to participate in the tournament some form of confidence going into the next season.
However, GHALCA have taken a decision to forfeit the competition for this season because of lack of sponsorship for the tournament.
Jacob Menkah as a member of the football fraternity has shared his thoughts saying,
” If the Ghana league clubs Association have the mantra of always claiming to be the organization responsible for the welfare of all Ghanaian clubs, then am sorry to say they have no club in this country at heart and at this point, they are being irresponsible looking at the reasons given for the cancellation of the top-four tournament.”
He further spoke details some of the reasons Ghana football is currently not growing.
” I think one of the major reasons why ghana football is on a stunted growth mode is because, the leaders who are supposed to be steering the growth of our football, not only Kurt okraku but people like Mr fianoo are being irresponsible.”
Jacob Menkah further iterated that, if GHALCA want’s to see ghana football at it best, they should sit up and stop giving excuses.
