Argentina U20 coach Javier Mascherano gave an interview to ‘TyC Sports’ and spoke about his compatriot Lionel Messi and his future.
“I would like Messi to return to Barcelona and finish his career there. I don’t know what the conditions are but I would like to see him play at the Camp Nou again next season,” he said.
Moreover, the 38-year-old spoke about the striker’s current situation and his World Cup victory: “Messi is a different player. Experience made Messi become a complete footballer. That’s why he now plays in a way he couldn’t when he was younger, but he’s still as decisive as he was then.
“Everything that has happened to him from the World Cup until now must have changed his mind about the future. It’s a shame because watching Messi play is incredible,” Mascherano concluded.
