Striker Antoine Semenyo of Bournemouth and the Black Stars has shared his joy at scoring his first Premier League goal.
He claimed it has always been a lifelong dream to score goals in the most watched league in the world.
Semenyo revealed to the media that he has been planning his celebration for a very long time after scoring against Leeds United over the weekend.
The Ghanaian forward, who has had trouble getting into games, stated that he had been planning a celebration for when he gets his first goal with his best friend Jaidon Anthony.
“We’ve been preparing for a celebration for weeks, and we’ve finally gathered on the field of play to do it. Semenyo declared, “It’s much better.
After a strong performance in the English Championship, the 23-year-old left Bristol City and signed with Bournemouth during the January transfer window. Since then, he has had trouble getting into games, starting only two.
Semenyo shared his excitement and said it’s still hard to believe he’s in the Premier League.
“It seems genuine. It has not yet sunk in. I appreciate the ball going in. I simply struck it as hard as I could. “I’m content,” Semenyo declared.
Semenyo feels that scoring his first goal in the league would be the start of positive things and that he can further his team’s progress.
