Hansi Flick sacked from his post as the German senior national team coach
Hansi Flick dismissed by the FA
The German football association has dismissed Hansi Flick from his responsibility as the German senior national team coach.
This new development comes after a bad run of games played by the German senior. Under performing at the 2022 Fifa world cup.
On the 9th of September, 2023, the German team was thrashed by Japan on a 4-1 score line. Germany’s performance last night was nothing to write home about, playing so flat and absolutely toothless in attack.
The German football association president, Bernd Neuendorf released a statement indicating the dismissal of Hansi Flick.
“The committees agreed that the senior men’s national team needs a new impulse after the recent disappointing results. We need a spirit of optimism and confidence with a view to the European championship in our country.
“For me personally, it is one of the most difficult decision in my tenure so far because i value Hansi Flick and his co-coaches as football experts and people. However, sporting success top priority for the DFB. Therefore the decision was inevitable.”
