Ghanaian residents in Israel not ready to make a U-turn back home amidst the country’s involvement in war with Palestine
According to some members of the Ghanaian community in Israel, they’ve no intentions of returning back to Ghana immediately.
However, they believe it’s too early for them to make preparation in returning back to Ghana safe and sound.
An interview conducted by a local television station base in Ghana with a member of the Ghanaian community, Seth cudjoe claimed it’s early days yet for him and his fellow country men to return home with their immediate families.
“I am not planning to come back to Ghana….. I can’t also leave my wife and jump to Ghana and the Ghana community is not ready to leave to Ghana unless the worst confronts us” Seth stated.
Meanwhile, Seth added that, the Ghana community in Israel feel secured and expressed how he is in contact with Ghanaian officials who are assisting him with precautionary measures.
“The Ghanaian community in Israel feels safer in Israel. With the help of the embassy, they’ve communicated to us — given us instructions, basically what to do and what not to do. They’ve made us understand that if they don’t have anything to do outside, then no need to go out … to be at a safer place” he added.
There’s a deadly attack by Hamas militants on southern Israel leading to a renewed rancor between Palestine and Israel over the Gaza strip.
