FC Barcelona set to initiate contract extension discussions with Frankie de jong.
The Netherlands and FC Barcelona midfielder, Frankie de jong has been instrumental in the FC Barcelona set up.
Frankie de jong has been a first team player and a starter for the Catalonia side since joining them from Ajax football club.
The midfielder has risen through the ranks and is now having some form of leadership role in the Barcelona team.
FC Barcelona manager, Xavi Hernandez deems Frankie as an untouchable player in his team.
“Of course i would extend Frankie de jong’s contract with my eyes closed. He is a key player for us — he’s in the best moment of his career now”. Xavi said.
Frankie de jong has also expressed his delight in staying at FC Barcelona.
“My contract renewal? My agent is taking care of that, but I’m happy here.” De jong said.
Contract extension for Frankie de jong is imminent and just a matter of time.
