Eddie Nketiah honours his first call-up to the three lions national team
Eddie Nketiah has provide his reasons for joining the England national team on his first invitation.
The Arsenal center forward, Eddie Nketiah who was born by Ghanaian parents in England has joined the three lions team in his first ever senior team call-up. Eddie had featured in all the youth side of the England national team and has always performed incredibly well.
Eddie Nketiah had initially held talks with the officials of the Ghana football Association to make a nationality switch to join black stars of Ghana but he quickly honored his first call to the England senior national team.
Speaking on reason he joined the three lions, Eddie had admitted that it was very difficult to turn down the invite.
“Once the call-up was there and the offer was on the table it was really hard to turn down.” He said.
Nketiah further explained how he was feeling when he saw the invitation.
“I felt it was a natural progression for my self at this stage. I felt now was the good time to kind of make that step and i am really happy to be here.
“I am proud to be here and like i said, hopefully i can go on and help the team get some cups.” Eddie iterated.
Eddie Nketiah is part of the England squad to face of their upcoming qualifier games against Scotland and Ukraine.
