Arsenal FC register’s thier first defeat in their pre-season games to Manchester united
Arsenal FC lost 2-0 against premier league rivals, Manchester united at the MetLife stadium in New Jersey.
Manchester united took a two goals lead, scored by Bruno Fernandes and jadon Sancho both in the first half which was enough to seal a victory for Erik Ten Hag’s side; United also secured a penalty shoot out victory over the Gunners.
The newly appointed captain for the red devils, Bruno Fernandes netted the first goal on the 30th minute from a long range strike which Aaron Ramsdale was unable to keep out from entering into the net.
After seven minutes from the first goal, a defensive error occurred which jadon Sancho to advantage of to increase Arsenal’s goal deficit to two.
Arsenal FC’S best chance fell to Kai Havertz who was picked out by a cross from Martin odegaard but the former Chelsea forward’s header looped over the Cross bar, another disappointed for the gunners was a defeat in the penalty shoot after Fabio viera failed to connect his penalty shoot.
The only positive for Mikel Arteta as the manager for the gunners was, his team being able to control possession however, loosing such a game against rival club, United due to defensive error means, there is a lot of work to be done defensively.
Manchester united looked sharper than Arsenal after changing all ten out field players in the second half. If arsenal FC wants to win titles coming season, they should work on themselves very well.
