Avance Media, a renowned pan-African Public Relations and Rating firm, has unveiled its fifth annual release of the 100 Most Influential African Women list for 2023, celebrating prominent women leaders across 31 countries on the continent.

Recognized for their outstanding contributions to diverse sectors, the 2023 edition highlights 20 business leaders, 24 diplomats, 6 climate change advocates, 21 figures in CSO & Philanthropy, and noteworthy individuals in governance, media, sports, and entertainment.

Founder of Avance Media, Prince Akpah, emphasized that the compilation serves to shine a spotlight on women driving impactful initiatives throughout Africa, serving as inspirational role models for the upcoming generation.

Their selection is a tribute to their remarkable achievements, positioning them as exemplary trailblazers among Africa’s female leaders.

The criteria for selection encompassed Excellence in Leadership & Performance, Personal Accomplishments, Commitment to Sharing Knowledge, Breaking the Status Quo, and being an accomplished African Woman.

Among the notable figures on the 2023 list are female presidents and vice presidents, including H.E Sahle-Work Zewde (Ethiopia), H.E. Samia Suluhu Hassan (Tanzania), H.E Mariam Chabi Talata (Benin), H.E Mutale Nalumango (Zambia), and H.E. Rebecca Nyandeng De Mabior (South Sudan).
